The “L” shaped Gray Test Chart CP350 is designed in 18% reflectance according to ISO 16505 standard. It's used to overlap the outer part of the single chart when positioned far away, thus enabling use of a small hyperbolic chart for partial evaluation, by shifting according to the area to be evaluated. This neutral grey mask appropriately used to cover the field of view avoids the deviation of the automatic exposure. Placing at foreground keeps the mask small and practical.
